Jackson attended his first real birthday party this week. His only boy friend from church turned 4. Jackson refused to eat the pizza, but thoroughly enjoyed the cake. He had a great time and really enjoyed giving his friend a present.
Friday we went to the local Children’s Museum. I go with the boys a couple times a month, but Brian has never gone. So we took him with us. I wanted him to see where we go so he could better understand what Jackson was always talking about, and I wanted him to take pictures. We had a good time and now we have pictures to prove it.
Friday night the Young Men put on a steak dinner fundraiser at the church. It turned out really nice. I ended up making a cake and a pie for it a few hours before it started. They both turned out okay; the pie wasn’t fully done, but there was only one piece left. It was fun and the boys raised a good amount of money. Brian was just glad to get it over with.
Lately, Grant has been pretending to sneeze. He drops his head down and makes a funny little noise. He also likes to bonk his head into other people’s heads. He even bonks his head at his own reflection in the mirror.
When Jackson gets hurt he will say, “I’m not okay.” After asking him what happened or what hurts he will say, “Nothing.” So he looks for sympathy and then won’t tell you what’s wrong.
Jackson will pretend to run into me (or Brian) and then say, “Oops, sorry Mommy.” I’m not sure where he learned that.

My personal favorites are Jackson singing away at the organ and the "flush yourself" toilet. Nice photo shooting, Brian!
