In Which Grant Prays for Dinosaurs

We keep trying to get Grant to pray but every time we kneel down and I start talking as if to help him, he looks at me and scolds, “Prayer!” But the other night we were kneeling together waiting for Jackson to pray when we heard Grant say, “dineur, dineur, dineur (dinosaur).” He was kneeling saying his prayers.

Grant is finally over his cold, mine’s at the tail end but Brian’s just starting. We had a quiet week staying home trying to keep our germs to ourselves.

My highlight of the week was getting my hair highlighted and cut. We’ll get some pictures soon.

We checked out a book from the library called, “Dino-hockey.” So we’ve been reading it constantly and playing hockey in the kitchen. Jackson and Brian have played their version of air hockey before, using small Tupperware containers for the paddles, lids for pucks, and the kitchen floor as the table. This week we pulled out the mops. That’s all Jackson wants to do now is play hockey with the mops.

We received The Aurorean in the mail this week, which is the literary journal containing Brian’s first-ever poem. It was cool to see it in print. Yahoo!
