When we moved to Florida we accidently left a few things at Brian’s parent’s house, including the adjustable side to our crib and our table leaf. Brian’s parents knew someone moving to Orlando, and they were kind enough to put our items on their truck. So Monday we headed to Orlando for the items. We didn’t just want to turn around and come right back home, so we went to Disney Marketplace. We went to the LegoImaginationCenter, where the boys played with Legos, and we saw some really cool scenes and characters made from Legos. The favorite was of a 20-foot sea serpent in the lake across from the store. In actually went in and out of the water.
We then went to the World’s Largest McDonald’s. There were arcade games surrounding the dining area, so it was really loud. We were able to eat in front of an aquarium, though. We didn’t make it upstairs to the play area. I’m not sure we’ll ever be brave enough to go back; it definitely was McDonald’s times ten, and there was no dollar menu, either.
Thursday was Jackson’s Kindergarten Farewell. They preformed a few songs for the parents, and then we had refreshments in their individual classrooms. It was really nice. It was short, sweet and really fun to see Jackson dancing and singing on stage.
Saturday morning was very, very hot and humid. But we braved the weather and went to Little League closing ceremonies. Jackson got a trophy of which he is very proud and the boys got to play in some inflatables. I braved it as long as I could and then took my fussy baby to the air conditioned car while the boys played.
I’ve wanted to get into the couponing fad for a while and so this week I actually did it. I saved over a hundred dollars between sales and coupons. It was very fulfilling to save that much money, but very tiring going to many different stores with two children in tow.
Grandma sent the boys a book about superheroes. When Grant called her to thank her he mentioned that Wonder Woman was practically naked.
Grandma: Oh, I'm sorry.
Grant: It's OK. I like naked.
